Here's my dream team.

15. Chris Latham. Big, strong, deceptively quick and skilful to boot. Some fantastic individual tries manufactured from nothing. Wallabies look legless at the back when he's not there.

14. JK. Unstoppable in his prime till wretched injury robbed him of sublime pace that blended uniquely with power & agility. Since hanging up his boots has shown he possesses a great rugby brain as well.

13. Tana. 2005 Lions series. Tana at centre, Capitana. Yes, Carter was sublime but this was Tana's swansong. On attack, defence, he set the tone and the boys followed. RWC would be looking a lot rosier for ABs if he were 2 years younger.

12. Tana here too if clone was available; if not, Tana 2005 would cover both possies, no probs.

11. Jonah. Illuminated 95 and 99 world cups for ABs, despite ultimate failure. Unstoppable even when seriously ill. Was he ever 100%? (Imagine the prospect...). Dodgy defence irrelevant as opposition would never get the ball off this team (read on)

10. Gotta be DC. Already a legend and complete 1st five/flyhalf (Jonny who?). History will give the stats to convince any doubters. (Needs to loosen up a little just now though). Silver to Larkham ( a worry that he's still firing).

9. Gregan. Fraid so, despite the pedigree. Tiny stature; massive status. Thankfully on the wane now but still a presence after 897 caps.

8. Zinny. Frame of a lock and skills of a fullback Anyone else and they would have brought back Buck.

7. Jonesy. Right place, right time, every time. Speed, precison, power, ice. Peerless. Even more awesome than McAwesome. Would love to see him in the modern game.

6. Jonesy. Ditto, only this is the bigger, slower, reincarnation - manufactured from career-ending injury (end of career at 7 that is). Biggest unspoken factor at RWC 1991? Aussies got to play us on a Sunday - minus Jonesy.

5. Still salivating at the prospect of Jonesy at 6 AND 7? So why not throw in another one - Kamo. With his bankable lineout ball, current AB crop would be untouchable. No shirker around the park as well.

4. Nobody. Nobody's perfect that is. Brain to match brawn and a real cool head in the peak of battle. Would run Capitana close. Pity about the pedigree though.

3. Hayman. Not just an anchor of scrums, but destroyer of others. Mixes it all over the park as well. Ahead of Mcawesome & DC as MVP in current ABs - just look at the 10 minutes without him at Melbourne.

2. Fitzy. The articulate beast. Sharp tongue, sharp brain. Not a bad player as well.

1. Os du Randt. The ultimate Rock. Imagine facing up to Oz & Carl, with a grinning Fitzy between them?

So there it is. Actually a dream 13 (not 15) as two players occupy two positions. Someone should make a computer game with Jonesy packing down on both sides of the scrum and Tana offloading to Tana in the centres.
