Boer Form XV : v6 Print E-mail

Odwa Ndungane : Photosport.co.nzHaven't posted a form side for a couple of weeks, though in all honesty would really have had to scrape the barrel for players who managed to perform decently rather than well enough to justify a place in a side which should acknowledge excellence. Improvement this week for most SA sides with the Sharks finally getting the away win they've been threatening to do for the past month, well deserved and much to be excited about in Durbs ! Bulls, though less than impressive, were robbed by some incredible incompetence in the TMO booth  and the Stormers and Cats were vastly improved despite their losses. Most pleasing was the return to form of some real important Bok players, most notably Schalk Burger, Os Du Randt and Jaque Fourie !
My form side for week 6 :

 15. JP Pietersen (sharks) : great performance from one of last year's CC stars, made the step up to S14 look easy. Needs to work on his kicking but what a talent !!
 14. O Ndungane (sharks) : Growing in stature each week, great try and superb work rate, Habana should take a leaf out of his book. fast rubbishing the comments about being the sh*t twin !

 13. J Fourie (cats) : Finally getting back to his best on attack. Looked dangerous every time he got the ball. with pretorious feeding him the Cats backline could become pretty dangerous back in Joburg.

 12. J DeVilliers (stormers) : Makes a massive difference to the stormers attack. Superb work to set up Chavanga. He'll get better each week, such class.

 11. H Mentz (sharks) : looked really dangerous with ball in hand, showing great pace and some nice stepping. Makes a big difference to the sharks backline.

 10. M Bosman (cheetahs) : Incredible kicking display under pressure and an all round impressive game, best he's played at this level.

 9. C Davidson (sharks) : Pienaar was good but when Davidson came on sharks really took control. Together with Brown ran the proceedings in the final quarter. Superb in defence and vital experience !

 8. S Burger (stormers) : finally the performance we expect from Schalk. Looked much more comfortable at 8 where he is more involved ! Ran powerfully all evening, deserved to be on a winning side !

 7. J Botes (sharks) : Huge work rate as always. Most underrated loosie in SA imo. Showed great pace for his much deserved try and unlucky not to get another after a powerful surge over the line.

 6. W Britz (sharks) : Very solid performance. Get the impression that he's a real leader in the sharks team, gives the sharks a more complete look than with Solly T.

 5. A Bekker (stormers) : Outstanding game from a future Springbok star. He has everything !!

 4. R Skeate (stormers) : Probably the form player of the SA sides over the first 6 weeks. Great workrate again and an excellent forwards try, showing he has the strength to match his skills and athleticism.

 3. J Du Plessis (cheetahs) : Really dominant in the scrums and a good showing in defence by the doctor. Great to see the depth we are starting to build at tighthead !

 2. S Brits (stormers) : Surely the most exciting tight forward in world rugby !! Throwing in was much better this week. Made a few errors but definitely the standout no.2 of the weekend.

 1. O Du Randt (cheetahs) : Awesome performance from the big man. Scrummed Eddie quota Andrews stupid and made some trademark big hits in the loose !
