Percy (5) - Did what he have to do kicking wise and look a like usual shaking on defense and luckily Larkern is not the up and under specialist.
JP (5) - Dont had any chances to show his attacking skills. Lote looked ordinary against him.
Fourie (6) - Score a nice try and stood his man defensively. If Jean could have passed that one particular ball.
Jean (7) - Two nice linebreaks and solid on defense.
Ashwin (4) - Dont look good in this test. Apart for his defense he surely isn't a Habana
Butch (5) - SA needs to see him dominant physically. He was silent by his standards and need work on that attacking skills.
Ruan (6) - Snappy service under sometimes pressure from the old man. He need to get more changes to show why we rate him highly
Spies (6) - Spies find his feet quickly on top level. Was unlucky to get that yellow.
Burger (8) - He was busy and everywhere for the full 80 minutes. That's what we expect from the man.
Juan (6) - He played a better test in his life. Hope he will get back from the injury
Bakkies (6) - Played a average Bakkies test. Really need to up his game physicality
Matfield (7) - Look the best in the lineouts and have to work on his captaincy skills, like he did with the Bulls.
BJ (5) - He can play much better but I think the ref influence his scrumming.
Botha (6) - He was for the longest time on the field and did gain some confidence from this game.
Guthro (4) - Did not impress.
My MOTM have to be the young Steyn for that two drop goals. The first one was a beauty and he must start in 15 or 10 in the next test.
Positives for the Boks
I think the Boks really played good field position in this test. They also start to look like keeping the ball for long periods and some patience in taking the ball through phases. This three point win is the right start to the 3 nations and now they most only work on their form. The youngsters like Steyn, Pienaar, JP and Spies look use to the top level. They can only get better as they gain experience.
