Another high action rugby weekend. Two top dogs get the wind from the front and two mid table semi candidates sudden look like form teams. I don’t think many people thought the Stormers would crack up the other home semi important spot. That spot is now open and this weekend the important Bulls vs Blues clash decisive. The winner in this game with the Sharks and the Chiefs can get it. This game and the Sharks/Stormers and the Saders/Chiefs in round 14 clashes will settle the spots. This tightness on the table show this years S14 is one of the tightest in years.
Boercalculator.
I got one wrong. The bottom no meaning ones Reds vs Cheetahs. It look like we will get one NZ semi , Saders vs Blues/Chiefs and the other Sharks vs Bulls. So at least we will have a NZ vs SA final for a change and wont that be something of a climax. The Brumbies still hanging in like many others like the Force, Hurricanes and just out of reach Stormers. The Clan and Lions join the bottom lot Cheetahs, Tahs and Reds.
Round 12
Saders vs Hurricanes
The Canes gave it their best shot but the Saders just clipped them. The Hurricanes on their last straw and need help from others to stay in touch. The Saders only one way , top of the log.
Brumbies vs Force
The Brumbies win this one as suspected but only just. The Force gave it their best shot and this loss will cost them a semi place.
Reds vs Cheetahs
One of the worst Cheetah performances of the year.Look like they decided beforehand to give Tune a good farewell. I think the personel change in the Cheetah coaching staff may play a role here. They show some good touches but their handling let them down big time. The Reds deserve this one because they were hungry for a last home win. Good to see some afternoon rugby in Aus .
Chiefs vs Sharks
I knew this one would be hard battle and the Chiefs had to start with a bang to outplay the Sharks and so they did. The game was over before half time. Glad to see the Sharks fight back at the end tho. The Chiefs show a upwards curve from long ago and the Saders clash will decide their fortunes. If they get in the semis they are going be the team to stop.
Waratahs vs Clan
The Clan start this game like a house in fire. It look like the game was over at half time. Congrats to the Tahs and another heartbreak loss in the end. The second time they lost it in the end but they show some fight out there. The Clan vs Canes clash this weekend will settle these teams S14 standings.
Bulls vs Lions
No surprise in this game. The Bulls look like a form team at the moment and their fortunes is in their own hands. They can go to nr2 with a little luck and need Saturdays game to bring them there. Their whole season depends on this single match. A loss can put them out of the semis.
Stormers vs Blues
This was the big game for me. The Stormers did everybody a big favour except the Blues and like Fester said there are a lot of cases beer on the way to Cape Town. The Stormers was just over the Blues and when they run out on Newlands and want to play, no one can stop them. My Gimmie boys play there leading part in this one. De Wet flooring Divine and Watson score after the ball getting loose, Jean scoring a intercept like usual and Burger, well he was his usual everywhere. He even gain a scrum cap and hopefully they will put this player in cotton wool now. He will play a important role in the Bok successe this year. Also hats off for our rookie fatties to stand their ground. Brok Harris surely is our find of the season. For the Blues the big nr8 look like a big prospect. Their All Blacks are still rusty and they will have to play out of their skins to get one over the Bulls.
This season S14 look like ending on a high and I cant wait for next week.
