Its my pleasure to give a kind of a review on Jake White. We always look at the bad of a coach and never give him accolades. So lets have a bit of a look at Jake White. What successes he had so far.
1. He took a Bokke team , down and out from the dumbs. Remember 2003? No one really wanted the job at that stage and he was a youngster and a surprise for many to get the job.
2. He brought some talents through. Remember the start of Habana. He plug him in from nowhere.
3. He bring experience players to the class of 2007 World Cup. Never
did we had players with this experience. We are 160 minutes away from
something special and we are going to need this to get to the ultimate
goal. Percy Montgomerie is going to be vital in this week's semi.
4. He took a U21 to WC glory and build this group around that. John Smith was his first appointment.
5. He did the trial run of home games to test his group in the test
arena for their reaction of a world cup competition. They come up short
in Durban in the All Black game. He knew they were down and out because
all of them played non stop from round 1 S14.
5. His planning of this WC tournament started 4 years back. He
knew the warm ups against Namibia & Scotland would be enough to got
them battle sharp. He stated defenses win world cups. how right was he?
6. His appointment of Eddie Jones was a masterpiece.
7. He pick players like Danie Rossouw, something not many understand but suitable for knockout and NH conditions.
The Bokke team is on their way of something special. They are 160
minutes away from it and the roll of the rugby dice now have even roll
his way in the knockouts.. Hope he is able to make the switch of
planning for this. First the Argies and if he get past that , the Poms
or French.
I for one hope and pray the Bokke win the World Cup because that will
help Jake White to give the politicians a"up you middle finger" and for
just maybe the end of the "Springbokkie" will be on a high.
Jake win the world cup for us and say goodbye to the bastards and take
the job somewhere else where you can do your job without politics
