Saffa Preview : Round 14 Print E-mail
Written by PaarlBok
Saturday, 05 May 2007

This is the round were the manne will show their mettle. One great thing for the two Saffer teams are they will know exactly what needs to be done to get a semi or a possible home semi. The two Friday games is the vital ones from a SA perspective.

Saders vs Chiefs
The game of the weekend. A must win one for both teams. The Chiefs have to outmuscle the Saders. The Saders need that one last bonus point to have a home semi but will have to go full house to secure top spot and a maybe home final. The Chiefs can win this one but still can end up out of semi contention . They just have to win this one and hope for the best. They will rewrite history in the process and if they get to the semis they will believe after this one they can win any team at any place. This is a hard one but I think the Saders will get this one because of history and home advantage. Saders by -12

Force vs Blues
Also a very important game for both teams. The Blues are down to the ground after their SA trip and the Force will be just that one step ahead after their NZ trip. This one I’ll give to the Force but only because they are at home. Force by -12

Highlanders vs Brumbies
This is a difficult one for the Brumbies. Although this is Oliver and Hayman farewell the Brumbies will be hungry because they can still make the semis. They are on good form and have the old school club like Gregan and Larken to take them through. Brumbies by -12

Hurricanes vs Waratahs
A no meaning encounter and the Canes to show their final mettle with Umaga. Hurricanes by 12+

Lions vs Cheetahs
The derby of the old Cats. Ellispark is the most Cheetah players homeground and with Os back will even klap the depleted Lions futher. Cheetahs by -12

Stormers vs Sharks
The Stormers is on a roll and this will be a tough toffee for the Sharks. The Sharks will dominate ball in this game and will outmuscle the Stormers in the tight exchanges. Sharks by 12+

Bulls vs Reds
This game only a Tsunami can withheld the Bulls from a five pointer. Bulls by 12+

So if all my games go my way it will be a Saders vs Brumboys and a SA Sharks vs Bulls semi next week. Let the games begin!
