Thanks heaven the SA derbies is away for this week. This week we up against
three Kiwi and two Aus teams. We had two weeks of rugby so tipping will be
easier but expect some disasters along the line. This is the first week when the
action kick off in SA so lets start
Stormers vs Chiefs. This is my favourite teams so a win win
situation. Looking at the team sheets will be no help. Desperate times needs
desperate measures from both teams. The Stormers will have more pressure because
next week they start their tour of hell. It feels if they are already in hell so
they have to forget about pressure. They must show their supporters they can
play and win or loose, as long as we can get some positives out of this match.
The Chiefs, well they also have pressure because they lost two home matches.
Anyway this game will be won by the fatties. If the Stormers can get par in the
scrumming department they are in with a change. If they don’t, it will be the
same story like the first two weeks. They should win the lineouts, on par with
second phase and they have one of the best backlines. The Chiefs will try and
out phys them . Chiefs by 1-8.
Bulls vs Force. The Bulls will be to bullish at Loftus. The Force
lineouts was a mess on Newlands and expect a bigger mess against the best
lineout in S14. The Bulls will drive from lineouts and the Bull Ring will get to
the Force. Bulls by 9-16
Hurricanes vs Blues. The Blues showed against the Brumbies what
need to be done to put the Hurricanes away. If they keep their game tight the
win is in the bag. Blues by 1-8.
Reds vs Brumbies. The Reds have impress me and Eddie Jones will
know all the Brumby secrets to put them away. Reds by 1-8
Cheetahs vs Waratahs. This is going to be a close game. The
Cheetahs team sheet look like they want to play wide. Kabamba in 6 and Phillip
Burger at 15 will be key factors for them. The Waratahs scrum will be tested
against a Cheetah scrum without the old fatties Ollie and Os. This game can go
either way but with the Kimberley hard pitch and fanatic crowd I’ll favour the
Cheetahs. Cheetahs by 1-8
Lions vs Crusaders. The Lions are on the up and with Jaco Pretorius
and Jac Fourie in midfield keyfactors and a handful. Their straight running from
deep and at speed may open a few cracks. Their youthfull fatties going from
strength to strength getting them self confidence. If they can win this one it
will mean a lot of confidence before going on tour. The Crusaders however showed
their class in the first two rounds and will be just a bridge to far for the
Valies. Crusaders by 1-8
Sharks vs Highlanders. The Sharks althought winning haven’t been on
full throttle. This game they can take the Highlanders and make a Shark meal of
them. Sharks by 9-16
The first two rounds produce some low score games. Wonder what will
Stephen Jones comments be about this.
