Saffa Preview : Round 9 Print E-mail
Written by PaarlBok
Thursday, 29 March 2007

From this week its make or break for a lot of teams. Home games loss means goodbye. This will be the big factor to many a match this weekend.  This week we have a Kiwi blinder derby and two SA vs Kiwi, two SA vs Aus and one Aus vs Kiwi games. For the Saffers the Stormers on a bye,  Bulls and Cheetahs in Kiwiland , Sharks in their neighbour across the Indian Ocean Perth and the Lions at home against the Brumbies.

Highlanders vs Cheetahs
The Cheetahs is all silent in the south but enjoyed themselves. The Clan still licking some Bully wounds and have to bring the big men back. I expect this one a close one because a loss for either team its bye bye 2007. The Cheetahs had success as the Free State in the house of pain and surely their coach will have taught them the way to do the business. The Cheetah midfield defense the key in this one. Cheetahs by  -10

Force vs Sharks
The Force look like a team on the up, form wise and have thrown away the win hoodoo at home. They  cant drop this game and will be desperate like hell. The Sharks loss against the Brumbies would have waken them from heaven and will do everything to redeem themselves. They have the forward pack to dominate and the backs to get them a win. Sharks by -10

Chiefs vs Blues
This one look like a ripper of a game. The Chiefs have to pull finger and a win will put them right back in semi territory. They have the forwards and physicality to give the Blues a strangle and the backs to finish off. The Blues team is on top and that is where the danger comes.  Chiefs -10

Waratahs vs Crusaders
Don’t need to waste space on this one. Crusaders by not so many,  not more then 20.

Lions vs Brumbies
Brumbies blow hot and cold . The Lions will have to be on their best and hopefully can repeat in the Canes  game vain. The breakdowns hold the key in this one. Being at home I’ll give it to the Lions by 10+

I predict a big Saffer weekend. The returning All Blacks will be better this weekend.
