Its sad to say goodbye to round 5 after a biggie
but we have to move on. Round 6 I predict a black weekend for the Saffer teams
and any win will be crabbed with two hands as a bonus and adding to my building
block. After two rounds of away games in Aus and NZ the Saffer teams have 4 out
of 5 wins on tour and a success rate of 80%. If we can get to 40% in Aus and
NZ for the season our teams will be more then happy. Round 6
Highlanders vs Reds:
The only easy tipping game. The Reds are down and out with all the
injuries and the Highlanders should bag five points in this game. Highlanders

Brumbies vs Stormers:
The Stormers had a big game last week. They have lost their young
anchor man Brok Harris and also the pocket rocket Bret Russell. They will be on
a high for this match and hunger for more success. The Brumbies had a rear loss
on home turf against the Bulls. The were however without Mortlock and
Rattlebones. Their forwards were more then good against one of the best S14
packs which would gave them confidence to take on the Stormers light five. Like
we saw last week if this Stormers paper team click and the forwards gave them
ball they can beat anyone. This one will be a big test for the Stormers pasience
and the midfield must defend like last week. The loosies must be first at the
breakdowns and they need to get quick ball to the midget finishers.
I have decided to give this one to the Brumbies but only just. Brumbies

Force vs Hurricanes:
They Force are back on their hoodoo home ground. The Hurricanes blow
hot and cold. This is a coin thrower and I think the Force will break that
hoodoo. Force by 1-8.
Blues vs Lions:
The Blues are a formidable force and the perfect match for every
Lions player to match himself. The Lions are still going great guns and Loffy
have picked bar Vermaak the best possible Lion team. The Lion players have to
play out of their skin if they want to win this. Dare I even mention this. The
Blues, the form NZ team and being on their home ground should win this one. The
minimum we can expect from the Lions is a passionate game and to get out of this
one with dignity. If the Lions take this one, their biggest block so far. Blues
12+
Waratahs vs Bulls:
The Bulls played much better last week. The Waratahs struggle last
week and the week’s rest did not helped them. Sydney is not one of the favourate
Bulls hunting ground and the Waratahs need a big game. Tahs by 12-
Cheetahs vs Sharks:
The Sharks still the only unbeaten side in the competition. With BJ
back and Steyn in 15 they put out all their big guns. The Cheetahs much depleted
with all the injuries still a difficult team in Osfontein for the Sharks.
However I predict the Sharks will brake their drought since 2003 and stay
unbeaten. Sharks by 12-
If every game go to my prediction a better weekend for Aus and NZ teams
and no braai for me. A pitty only one NZ vs SA team battle. The ones we enjoy
the most.
