Saffer View : Round 11 Print E-mail
Written by pAARLBOK

This round its make or break for a few teams. Three derbies on the way, the SA & Aus ones is the traditional ones, 2 SA Kiwi clashes on Kiwi soil, one the top of the log and the other the bottom and a Kiwi/Aus clash. Loosing home games will be vital and bonus points is a bonus at this time and there maybe a few upsets on the cards.

Hurricanes vs Cheetahs
The Canes end their loosing streak last time against the Bulls and will be desperate to keep on winning. The Cheetahs is in the same boat and will do their best to get their first tour win. Looking through the team sheets the Cheetahs have bring back their more conservative team. They will try and grind the Canes in the forwards and will use de Waal’s boot and put pressure on defense. They showed against the impressive Blues they can do it for long periods and effective. The Canes had a bye and have more or less the same team then vs the Bulls. They don’t have to study anything and will have to play the same Bulls game pattern. They must show big passion for 80 minutes otherwise they will get smutthered the Lions way. The Canes will be hungry and  I’ll give them a 12+

Chiefs vs Force
The Force surprise all of us but took a deep dip vs the Crusaders.  The Force know the way to play the more physical sides. Hopefully the Chiefs will get their backline defensive line in tack otherwise they may struggle. They must keep the heat up in the forwards and may struggle in the lineouts. This game is going to be close but I’ll give it to the Chiefs by -12

Highlanders vs Crusaders
The Highlanders lost two games on the trot at home and they are up against the form and impressive Crusaders. This derbies is always funny and bring the best out of the home teams. The Crusaders will be just to classy and they will take it by 12+

Blues vs Sharks
Vital clash for both teams. The Sharks on a high after last weeks win and know if  they win this one they’ll gain double points. The Blues is the top form team and more difficult at home. The Sharks will have to play in the face defensively and grinding in the forwards. The Blues can expect a much better test then last week. The Blues to take this one by  12+

Tahs vs Reds
The traditional Aus derby and the battle for the S14 wooden spoon. This ones is usually close but the Tahs homeground make them the favours. Also a close game but I’ll give it to the Tahs  12-

Bulls vs Stormers
The traditional SA derby. This game will be fierry at first and I will not be surprise to see some cards here. The Stormers when they hot can give the Bulls a go. They have to combat the Bulls forwards and that’s the key for this one. If they can hold their first phase ball in the scrums and lineouts then its game on. If they let the Bulls forwards bully them its going to be a long afternoon. The Bulls have for the first time their best players on the park.  Bulls by 12+

Will be a big bonus if the Sharks or Cheetahs can get a away win in this round. The current away score is 8 from 18 and the Sharks have pick up only one for those teams.
