Like sheep, I shall follow the lead and name my fave 15, have tried to make
it a 15 that could play together too...
15 - Cully, who else? At his peak, the finest attacking talent I have ever seen,
and despite what many might say, I though his 'd' was solid too, helped out by
his acceleration to get himself back into position
Runner up - Serge Blanco, if no Cully, there would be no other!
14 - Goldie, had it all, when on song, he was poetry in motion
Runner up - JK
13 - Frank Bunce, just got better and better with age, punishing defence, but
his wings scored some sensational tries
Runner up - Tana Umaga, BoD (so long as he keeps his trap shut)
12 - Tim Horan, quite simply the best man in the 12, ever IMO, this centre
pairing would have been dynamic!
Runner up - Walter Little, but only alongside Bunce
11 - Jonah, there can be only one
Runner up - The Talented Mr Rupeni
10 - Larkham, is not your classical 10, but in the mould of the rugby I like, he
is the man!
Runner up - Carter, will most likely take Larkhams mantle, but not yet, not yet.
9 - Sid Going, never saw alot of this man, but what I did, he was electric,
plus, a Taniwha!
Runner up - Gregan, just hated him being in the opposition side, end of, also
special mention to Farr-Jones
8 - Brooke, he had it all at really, there has not been, and unlikely to ever be
another quite like him.
Runner up - So'oialo, fast becoming a great IMO
7 - Kronfeld, always been one of my fave players, just tireless scavenger, left
it all on the pitch
Runner up - McCaw, was a tough call to bench him, but Kronfeld suits my other
loosies better IMO
6 - Ben Clarke, I was always worried when I saw him play against us, even if he
was a Pom!
5 - Martin Johnson, this man was a leader, and would have walked into any side,
I saw someone mention I wish he had stayed in NZ, I doubt he'd have become the
legend he was if he did!
Runner up - Ian Jones, very underrated, did alot of work and would still be a
class act today (not least to get him form the commentators box) also a Taniwha
4 - John Eales, classy player
Runner up - Ali Williams
3 - Olo Brown, this guy was an immovable rock!
Runner up - Carl Hayman
2 - Fitzy, who else
Runner up - Keith Wood, Mealamu as an impact player
1 - Keith Murdoch, never saw him play, but form what I read about him, hell
yeah!
Runner up - Richard Loe, along with Johnson, a couple of enforcers
