What a great game of rugby. I know many feel this game was much to close for the Bokke but at the end a good game and both teams to take a lot of positives out of this one.

This game the Bokke have to thank the Tongans because

1.      They will know now there is no easy games in this competition.

2.      The Tongans gave them a real hard old physical game. This is very important because it is the ideal preparation once the business end games start.

3.      Tonga proof once again the big boys have to do something to help the smaller nations to grow bigger in the southern hemisphere.

4.      Tonga show again there is more to rugby then paper names.  The old basic instincts still exist in rugby called hunger, passion and motivation. If you go in any rugby game without this you are going to lose.

5.      The Boks had now three good games behind them. All three they were the favourites and the previous two was much to easy. This one they had to graft out in the end. Another one where the home crowd was behind the opposition and they will need to counter this specially if they come up against the Hane in the semis.

6.      Tonga showed there is a big difference between our A and B team and we are still limited as far as our bench will go. At this stage only Ruaan Pienaar, Wikus and Muller will be able to give us the same strength as far as substitute goes.

7.      Andre Pretorius had a real shocker. Hopefully his last one and I hope Jake will start him again against the USA to get his head right. I know he have BTM , he needs just a bit of match sharpness to get back to where he should be.

8.      This game also show you are as good as the last games result.

So, the Bokke far from perfect, but still on top of their log and with plenty of work to do. They have to start with their best team against the USA, in the last game, hit them hard and take the star performers off. That’s the way they should go. Nothing futher then that and Tonga, go beat the Pommies and book yourself a place in the quarters, you deserve it.
