@Stargazer awesome. What's the asterisk next to some times? Not televised? Edit nope can't be that, SA games will be on sky

@Machpants Ah, I see my explanation for the asterisk only appears in the intro on the home page, not in the article itself. I'll add it.

The asterisk means that the local time is on the previous day (from a NZ perspective; NZ day, date and time are in the first three columns).

Interestingly only one 6 (Leota), one 7 (hooper) plus three 8s. Five loosies in total, yet ABs will probably pick 7. One 12 (Kerivi), one fullback (banks). So there will have to be some positional shuffling

I can't believe that Angus Bell is only 21, no doubt will have a very long career in orange.

Sure I realise that, just not their default position in SR (as far as I know, I could be wrong!)

On YouTube, I could only find an unofficial, low-quality highlights clip, but it's longer and watchable if you watch it on a smallish screen.

Jordie Petaia can play 12, 13 and wing. They’ve also got James O’Connor who is a 10, 12 or fullback option.

@ARHS I actually quite liked it when the Māori All Blacks played them, and Brazil a few years ago, although it wasn't of much use for the MABs as a means of developing players. Unfortunately, Brazil doesn't get to play a single test match during the June/July test window.

Found a livestream of the Barbarians game with Spanish commentary. The half time score was 14 - 0 to the Barbarians.

The second half has now started and I notice that they're playing in a very empty stadium.

Reading on Rugbypass that this is the last game for Tom Wood (who has kicked at least two of the conversions), Devin Toner and Joe Tekori.

I understand there were quite a few debutants in the Spanish side and from what I've seen of the game, they didn't play badly, despite the result.

I haven't been able to find the Japan v France game in Sky's tv guide, so I assume they won't show it live or not at all. I also haven't seen that it will be livestreamed, although it may be worthwile keeping an eye on the World Rugby YouTube channel.

Because of that, there doesn't seem to be much reason for a separate match thread

On Monday morning (NZT time), Argentina XV beat Georgia 30 - 24 in Kutaisi, Georgia.

I think this result, as well as that of the Romania v Italy game (above), shows that Georgia and Romania aren't quite good enough to join the Six Nations. There still quite a bit weaker than Italy.
